From Cape Town with Love

Exploring new hotels while traveling is one of my favorite pastimes and something I look forward to on every trip, especially when it comes to the architecture and interior design of these spaces. Every corner, from the lobby, restaurants, bathrooms, and of course, my personal quarters, is subject to analysis.

I recently took a trip to Cape Town, South Africa and found myself particularly moved by a very charming hotel. The inviting décor of the resort was so cozy that I felt like I was in my own vacation home. I left so inspired and flooded with so many ideas and design aspects I would incorporate in my own future home.

If you haven’t been, I highly recommend a trip to Cape Town. I had an unforgettable week filled with so many diverse attractions such as; wine tours, safaris, beach days, lively nights out, and more. Among the hotels we stayed at, the 12 Apostles Hotel & Spa stood out for its enchanting beach town ambiance.

Here are some stand out design elements from this 5 star hotel.

A gorgeous full hallway skylight that bathe the space in natural light.

Cheerful and vibrant striped carpet that give the space energy and warmth.

A serene stone waterfall pool made for relaxation.

These coastal blue checkered restaurant floors that will leave you coming back for more.

An intricate seashell display table that complements the hotel’s overall beach charm and allure.
